The Tom Ford Plastic Innovation Prize, launched in partnership with Lonely Whale, awarded $1.2M to three companies developing seaweed-based alternatives to traditional plastics. The winnersβSway, Zerocircle, and Notplaβwere recognized for creating materials that are both biodegradable and marine-safe.
The prize includes access to an accelerator program backed by Tom Ford Beauty and The EstΓ©e Lauder Companies, which will help the winners scale their products and bring them to market.
