The Venus Aerospace team has announced a major step towards full-system hypersonic flight. With support from a NASA SBIR award, Venus has successfully integrated a high-performance nozzle into its Rotating Detonation Rocket Engine (RDRE) system, with ground testing planned for later this summer.

This summer’s demonstration will showcase one of the most advanced detonation-based propulsion systems to date—paving the way for future breakthroughs.
