In late 2020, Phillip Sarofim, founder of Trousdale Ventures, acquired Meyers Manx from Bruce and Winnie Meyers—the first time the brand has ever changed hands. Known for its role in defining California dune buggy culture, the company is now entering a new chapter.

To lead the next chapter, Trousdale tapped designer Freeman Thomas, whose past work includes projects with VW, Audi, and Porsche. 

Under this new leadership, Meyers Manx will stay true to the original spirit of the dune buggy while introducing new innovations, including an electric model currently in development.
