Rendering of Impulse Space launch of SES satellites

Impulse Space is redefining how satellites reach their final orbitβ€”bringing flexibility, speed, and precision to space logistics.

The company has signed a multi-launch agreement with SES, a global content and connectivity provider, to use its Helios kick stage to transport satellites from Low Earth Orbit (LEO) directly to high-energy orbit within hours.

The first mission, planned for 2027, will deploy a 4-ton-class SES payload on a medium-lift launcher in LEO. Helios will then transfer the payload directly to Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) within eight hours of launch.

Unlike traditional rideshare missions with fixed drop-off points, Helios enables responsive, last-mile delivery to targeted orbitsβ€”giving satellite operators greater speed, flexibility, and mission-specific control.

At Trousdale Ventures, we back category-defining companies transforming how we move, manufacture, and operate in space and on Earth.

Tom Mueller and the Impulse team are building infrastructure that will shape the future of the in-space economy. Congratulations to the Impulse Space team on this major milestone.
