The iconic Meyers Manx dune buggy is getting a modern rebootβwith an all-electric drivetrain. The new Meyers Manx 2.0 keeps the open-air spirit of the original but brings in updated EV performance and tech.
Now under the leadership of Phillip Sarofim, the rebooted Manx is expected to launch in 2023. It will come with two battery optionsβone with a range of 150 miles and another with up to 300. The larger pack delivers 202 horsepower and can go from 0 to 60 in just 4.5 seconds.
The new model keeps the originalβs lightweight design, coming in under 1,700 pounds. An initial run of 50 vehicles will launch through a beta program, with full production set for 2024.
