San Francisco startup, Brightside Health, has launched a new suicide prevention programβfilling an important gap in virtual mental healthcare.
Their new Crisis Care program will offer dedicated support for individuals who have recently attempted suicide or need follow-up care after hospitalization. The four to twelve-week program connects patients with clinicians trained in the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) framework for weekly video sessions, regular check-ins, and 24/7 messaging support.
Brightside is teaming up with NeuroFlow to help connect patients with the right level of care, with plans to expand the program nationwide.
The new service builds on Brightsideβs work in treating depression, anxiety, and other moodΒ disordersβand follows a $50M Series B raise last year.
