Ecovative's mycelium-based leather alternative swatches

Ecovative is scaling up production of its mycelium-based leather alternatives with a new facility in the Netherlands. The company’s new acquisition will bring key parts of its supply chain in-house, strengthening Ecovative’s quality control and ramping up production of its animal-free, biodegradable materials.

The new facility will help Ecovative meet demand across a range of sectors, including fashion, packaging, and food industries. It also gives the company room to grow its Forager division, focused on making leather-like materials from mycelium.

The acquisition supports Ecovative’s mission to make sustainable materials at scaleβ€”meeting growing demand from consumers and brands alike for earth-friendly, animal-free alternatives.
